We were informed that in the course of the concentration efforts our company was applied for closure. Since we were informed at the same time that the decision is with you highly esteemed Minister, we allow us to bring the following information about our company to your knowledge: Our company was founded in the year l879 and is one of the oldest and largest of this kind in the large German region. The development was the same as with the other fabric printers i.e. at the beginning only so-called cattunes were printed, soon they passed on to high-quality cotton fabric and finally came art silk and cell wool raw fabric, which was produced in our two weaving mills Petzka and Grulich - the. Due to the necessary progressive expansion of our printing plant, additions had to be created which could give the layman the impression as if it were an obsolete operation. The skilled person knows that it is no different with the other printing plants in the Reich, with the exception of a large material printing plant in southern Germany, which burned down a few years ago and was completely new and could therefore be constructed in every way. The aim of our company was to bring on the market, both qualitatively and in terms of design and general execution, particularly good goods, in order to conquer the exporting countries. Up to 50% of our production was carried out, mainly in the foreign exchange countries of northern and western Europe, Egypt and other overseas regions.
