The cancellation of customs borders carried out on 1 October 1940 required adjustments to all related issues. The issue of routing regulations for goods transport between the Protectorate and the rest of the Reich was accompanied by closer cooperation between DR and ČMD. In the local transport of passengers, luggage and hastily- n, the personal fare of the ČMD tariff DR was adapted. Taking into account the significant price differences and other deviations, this could only be done gradually. As of 1 April 1940, the fare was increased by 20% on a regular basis, with the exception of the working and pupil fare, which was increased only by 10% for social reasons. On 1 October 1940, several discounts were valid, which were not justified by the military-economic conditions. In international transport, the German-Czech-Moravian association tariff was issued with effect from 1 April 1940, which replaced the former German-Bohemian-Czechoslovak tariff. In other Union transports, the integration of Czech-Morasian railways into the imperial-German Federal tariffs was carried out. With effect from 1 April 1940, local and export tariffs were increased by 15%/o; exceptionally, only some national-economically important goods such as coal, coke, fertilizer and cattle remained unchanged. The tariff community with Slovak railways was abolished on 1 February 1940. All the general principles for tariff policy remained unchanged, in particular due to the granting of discounts in justified special cases. International freight tariffs were adapted to new conditions in 1940. Numerous freight tariffs, which had ceased meaning, were abolished. Other even partially and temporarily re-issued. The Government Decree of 30 December 1940 No. 444 Coll. improved the material ratios of railway employees and government regulations, Coll.
