6.Blat to the activity report for the period from 1/1. to 15./4.1944. CS THE PRIMATOR-STELL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE MAIN STATE PRAG. tfetol Handwerkes has promised its mediation.- The editorial activity of the archive will appear visibly in the next few days through the publication of the first volume of researches from Prague's past and present. For the second and third volume there are also already approved valuable manuscripts.- The copy of the donation book for the German-evangelical Salvator Church in Prague from the beginning of the 17th century was completed. Thus, the research was completed a valuable source for the period before the Thirty Years' War, which is now in Dresden. From the activity of the municipal libraries, I would like to refer only to the loan offices of the German municipal library, which have been set up since the beginning of the year in four hospitals, which are used by the wounded to a large extent. The city museum was still concerned with securing and salvage irreplaceable art treasures. The museum's air shelters are currently fully developed, so that the upper floors can now be moved with acceleration. The city's news and advertising centre suffers from a lack of advertising material, although the number of visitors to the Old Town Hall is increasing rather than falling. The most popular advertising medium so far, and basically also the best advertising material, was the rotogravure-print illustrated volume "Prag", whose German edition has long been out of print without a new edition being granted. It was precisely because of this that the grotesque case arose, that already before the annual deadline ordered and at the beginning d.J. delivered Czech edition of the illustrated book was sold out completely within two months, while it should be noted that the buyers are almost exclusively German: This is the result of the certainly strange case that in the old Reich area propaganda for Prague is made with Czech printed works, a condition which is due to the lack of any relevant German publication. I would warmly welcome it if we were to be able to continue printing on the German edition.
