28a -36- It follows from the above that in the course of the year 194l only a slightly higher amount was collected, but it must be noted that in 1942 a supplementary payment of K 26 million was received. As far as taxes and charges are concerned, all of the results, which are more or less favourable to the budget, are shown, except for the tax on parcels and the discharge fee, which is linked to the building movement, and the taxes, which, in turn, are mainly due to a reduction in building tax. If one compares the development of the yield of all municipal levies, levies and charges in recent years, it shows the improvement of economic relations. One exception is the increases and levies levied on consumption taxes, which were in the process of being dismantled and which had even disappeared from 1 June 1942. The general overview shows the following figures: A.The municipal surcharges on direct taxes ..... 100,600 151,800 192,200 286,500 B.The surcharges and levies levied by the consumption tax department .. 54,800 .55,500 35,200 13,800 C.Immediately collected by the municipality of Prague .......... 208,000 218,100 230,100 276,400 B63,400425,400 457,500 576,700 altogether 11523
