1 Draft press notes on the arrest of Klapka. Draft 1: Dr. Klapko arrested. Prague, 10.7.1940. Officially reported: In the course of investigations against an illegal group, which held treasonal relations with foreign countries, it was established that the previous primator of Prague, Dr. Klapka, who had been aware of this anti-state activity and had been actively supporting it for some time. This support of the traitorous group by Dr. Klapca required his immediate arrest. Klapkas is not only in the strictest C c C C C but also proves that he acted responsibly against his own people. Draft No. 2: 1 Dr. Klapca arrested. Prague, 10.7.1940. Due to treacherous activity the former primator of Prague, Dr. Clapka, was arrested. Klapkas is not only in sharp contrast to his duties as primator of Prague, but also proves that he has dealt with his own people in the most unspeakable way. Explanation: The two drafts were drafted jointly by Commissioner Klements and myself in agreement with Dr. Geschke. -Obersturmbannführer Böhme did not agree with the first two paragraphs of draft No. 1 because they appeared to him too extensively.
