With reference to yesterday's lecture on the question of the use of bicycles for recreational trips, I propose to Abdruek of a circular issued by the Minister for Economic Affairs in this matter, which I received only today. I may also point out the following points: 1.) The reference certificate for bicycle tyres was introduced on 1 November lg40. Since then, new bicycles could be purchased practically only with a reference ticket for bicycle tyres. In total, the Protectorate currently issues new tyres annually for 60 000 bicycles, i.e. a total of 120 000 blankets and hoses each, as well as 900 000 covers or hoses for replacement. With regard to the considerably worse traffic conditions of the Protectorate as well as the well-known extremely long marches to numerous enterprises, with the consent of the Reichsstelle for rubber, a little more bicycle tyres will be issued in the Protectorates than corresponds to the population relationship to the rest of the territory. 2.) The consumption arrangements for bicycle tyres shall be applied in such a way that these overall quotas are distributed among the national authorities of Prague and Brno in the 60-40 period IVB-33d/43
