STATE SECRETARY FOR THE RUSSIAN PROTECTOR IN THINGS AND IN MORAVA, PRAGUE, inv. 184, sig. 109-2/86
English Translation
4. Family death allowance for children up to 1 year The family death grant for children under 1 year, which to date has been 5 times the basic wage, has been raised to 10 times the base wage with effect from 1 January 1941. Sickness benefit for voluntarily insured employees The voluntary insurance of employees who retire from compulsory insurance for exceeding the annual earnings limit of RM 3600 is generally entitled to sickness benefit from Ianuar 1 in 1941. As with the compulsory members, members who are voluntarily insured as long as they are employed are entitled to sickness benefit. This is paid from the day on which the remuneration granted by the follow-up officer as a sickness allowance is removed in the event of incapacity for work. This new regulation also applies to the already existing insurances of the voluntarily insured members, insofar as the above Borausszeßungen apply to them. A special request for the conversion of the guarantee does not need to be made, since the eligible members are still particularly informed. As a result of the future entitlement to sickness benefit, the contributions from 1 January 1941 onwards are increased from 9.90 RM per month to 10.80 RM monthly. Since the voluntarily insured employees are not entitled to the choice of whether they want to insure themselves without or with entitlement to health benefit, applications for retention of the previous type of insurance cannot be granted. For voluntarily insured employees who find it inappropriate to continue their insurance under the new conditions, it is therefore only necessary to give up the continued insurance. The above provisions do not apply to persons who have voluntarily continued to insure themselves as employees as a result of exceeding the earnings ceiling of RM 3600 and who have subsequently been taken over as civil servants. For this purpose, however, a special application is required, which I should like to send immediately to the subject area V of the Hauptverwaltung der BKRt, Berlin SW 68, Neue Grünstraße 17. The voluntary further insurance of the compulsory members, which, for other reasons, exclude from compulsory insurance, remains unchanged. C 1389
