4. Family death allowance for children up to 1 year The family death grant for children under 1 year, which to date has been 5 times the basic wage, has been raised to 10 times the base wage with effect from 1 January 1941. Sickness benefit for voluntarily insured employees The voluntary insurance of employees who retire from compulsory insurance for exceeding the annual earnings limit of RM 3600 is generally entitled to sickness benefit from Ianuar 1 in 1941.
