School allowance for the education of children 1313 of civil servants, employees and workers in the y public service outside the parents' house. 60T/66 I ask, when granting school fees in accordance with my circular dated 12 February 1941. 1 : School allowance is granted to compensate for the additional expenses incurred by civil servants, employees and workers in the public service by their use in the service or by housing their families in places without a suitable general education school for their children. It cannot, according to its purpose, be granted for the additional expenses incurred in connection with compulsory schooling for children remaining in the parental household (refer to the special scheme for travel expenses referred to in point 7.) 2. Only officials in active employment and other persons treated as such (§ 1 BesG), the employees and the workers in the public service receive the school allowance. They cannot be given to waiting and retirement officials, because they are not restricted by official needs when choosing their place of residence. This also applies to those who are re-used as civil servants on revocation. 3. The school allowance can only be granted to children for whom a child supplement is paid.
