On the basis of my knowledge as a former Oberlandrat of the city and country of Prague and after consultation with the district schulinspektor, I can give the following preliminary judgment about the quality of teachers in German schools: 1.) The quality of the teachers is naturally different, but is often below the average of the Reich. This is probably due to the fact that the Sudetengau did not send the best teachers to the Protectorate as a result of the difficulties caused by the war. In addition, the best technical teachers were sent to the city of Prague, while the flat country is not very richly blessed with good teachers. In the meantime, a change has taken place in Prague through the recruitment of teachers to the Wehrmacht; today more than 70% of teachers work at the German schools in Prague. 2.) The teachers belonging to the older generation are much better technical than the young and also have more sense of duty.
