The Oberlaudrat in Iglau 13 November 1942 Iglu, for the districts: A4 Groß=Meseritsch, Iglau, Mäbr.-Budwis. 16.NOV-1942 Neustadtl, Teltsch and Trebitsch. Act 3. (Aftenzeichen, Date und Sachbeschreibung bei Responsentschriften anzeigen!) To the Herr Reichsprotektor in Bohemia and Moravia, general inspector of the administration, in pr a g Subject: Quality of teachers at primary schools. Reference: Decree of 4 November 1942. September 1942 A total of 58 teachers are employed at the primary schools of the city of Iglau and 71 at the other primary schools in the district. 31 teachers are in military service. The overall picture of the quality of teachers in the country is generally not unfavorable. There are some teachers who even have to be described as very good and who, alongside their own excellent pedagogical achievements, lead party and community work. Unfortunately, the majority of teachers are somewhat over-aged. They are old-fashioned village teachers who teach more than educating. They also do not always understand that, especially in the war, the teacher has to take full action in public life beyond his vision. 4 teachers are, of course, already to slt and were in retirement in themselves, but one will not be able to provide any remedy here at the moment. One can be satisfied with the young teachers, who are now increasingly employed as a substitute for the advanced young teachers. In any case, from the lack of experience, they are very eagerly and conscientiously engaged. Proposals for dismissals and exchange have therefore to be made at first only in 2 cases. In agreement with the school inspector of the teachers Josef s c h u 1 1 e r in Libinsdorf, it seems to me that Libindorf is a German village outside the language island in the district of Neustadtl. The population, mainly small farmers on poor soil, is extremely poor. ./.
