53 page 2 to the letter to SS-Sturmbannführer Ober-Reg.Rat.Giess According to the letters of the Ministerial Councillor Dr. Bertsch, the German charitable housing companies should then be engaged as Bautrlger if the municipality is not possible as a builder. In the whole protectorate area there is only one residential enterprise which does not have the form of a cooperative; this is the non-profit building company for workers' and small apartments A.G. in Brno, which, according to the shareholders, members of the supervisory board and board of directors, must be called a Jewish company. My negotiations for an arrangement of this company have so far failed. The other points mentioned in the letter by Dr. Bertsch, Ministerial Councillor, are in line with my previous ascents. However, it has to be stated that I have taken the lead with the housing companies accompanying the letter. At the moment, the already mentioned non-profit building company for workers' and small flats A.G. in Brno is capable of working. All other cooperatives are so poor in capital that they are not able to raise the necessary equity capital in the amount of 1% of the total cost of production from their own resources. The management of all the above mentioned l8 housing supports is voluntary, so that one cannot rcden from an existing workable apparatus. For this reason, at the initiative of the Ss-Oberführer von Gottberg, I took over the management of the following cooperatives: 1.) Baugenossenschaft für Bank- und Sparkassenofficialn in r.G.m.b.H. Prague, now: non-profit community in Prague, 2.) Prager Volkswohnungaverein, F.G.m.b.H. 3.) North Moravian community-based home and basic processing cooperative in Olmütz, r.G.m.b.H., now the community-owned settlement cooperative in Olmütz, R.G, b.l., 4.) German non-profit civil servants-construction and housing cooperative in Iglau, r,G.n.b H., Now: non-interested settlement cooperatives in Iglau, r-G.N.bH. Since the raison d'être in Moravia-Ostrava, Brno, Pilsen and Budweis is extended due to the adoption of a local cooperative, I am on the point of view that the four cooperatives mentioned above can carry out the settlements, i.e. housing houses, through the two Prague cooperatives in Bohemia and through the Iglau cooperative in Moravia. However, it is necessary to raise capital for these cooperatives. Therefore, I refer to my proposal at the time to summarize these cooperative companies by the fact that every cooperative after its reorganization (only necessary for the two Prague companies) as a shareholder of an umbrella company to be founded b.H. with the support of Mr Reichs- 5%
