124 Secret! Betr.: Administrative conversion in the Protectorate. According to reports from West Bohemia, the atmospherically different assessment of the administrative conversion persists in all the more important questions both among the German and Czech population. Today, however, the extent of such discussions and the interest is no longer as large as the original, agreeing statements by German people mostly concern themselves with the higher objectives of the conversion, whereby the current conversion is often regarded only as a pacemaker of a later full suction of the protectorate administration. The German population of the political district Taus e.g. is very pleased with this administrative conversion and explains that, after the initial pessimistic waiting, it now shows that the appointment of a German district captain in Taus in the context of this administrative transformation has won much for Germanism in political, economic and other respects. It also meant a relief in terms of traffic and technology. It would no longer be necessary to travel the long road to Taus, which was unmistakable due to the war conditions, to K. It was only a wish of the district captain that the captain in Klattaulie hauptmann von Taus would be transferred, so one could only express himself favourably. This is the case in the Czech Republic, where there is a great deal to be done in this area, and in the case of the Czechs, there is still a lot to be said on the Czech side. Intermediates and employees expect a tuptman to give more protection in all personal matters, especially Czech businessmen, that they are happy now to take care of their business directly at the district authority.
