- 2 - The more the war forces us to withdraw German forces, especially from the autonomous departments, the greater and more important the work of inspectors will become. They will often have to replace what has been done so far by the officials recruited. In order to give inspectors the possibility of common direction at all times, the Inspector General of the Administration has been created. Inspectors have to support the Inspector-General of the administration in his work. He himself ensures that the proposals made by inspectors are quickly reviewed and implemented '. The Reichsprotektor also uses the inspectors to fulfill special orders. As far as inspectors are unable to carry out such orders personally, they will be assigned skilled employees. At present, the police reserve checks and selects a number of teachers who are assigned to the inspectors as co-workers for the special tasks of the examination of the German school conditions in Bohemia and Moravia. A special merit has also been gained by the inspector in the field of the supervision of Germanism and the forgiveness of ethnic means. Even on this point, despite the difficult relations caused by the war in the last six months, things have been achieved. The fear expressed by the inspectors in the beginning that their work will not be able to have a great success due to the limited law of instruction has not been fulfilled. The exercise of this right of instruction must be limited to the emergencies. It would otherwise easily lead to instructions from both the Higher Councils and the Vice-Presidents to the subordinate departments.
