4) Politically unpleasant avenue of action that usually informs Czech entrepreneurs, workers and trade unions of forthcoming wage policy measures in the past ala the German Labour Front and the Germanworkers and entrepreneurs. The wage development of the last few months is gradually forcing the introduction of a strict wage stop and a tight state wage monitoring. In individual cases, the actual earnings in the Protectorate are already higher than the effective wages of the comparable industry of the neighbouring German Gaue. This is unwelcome in terms of national politics and has often caused dissatisfaction among German workers, especially in the South of Germany. As the German-managed enterprises in particular are inclined not to strictly comply with the regulations of the autonomous government, the above-mentioned wage expansion is largely noticeable in these enterprises. According to the current legal situation, the introduction of a general wage stop would, in analogy with the regulations in force in the rest of the Reich, result in a German entrepreneur wanting to encourage a German worker or employee to seek the approval of the Ministry of Social and Health Administration. If this were to be allowed, the Czech district authority would be entitled to punish this German entrepreneur. The party liaison office regards this consequence - for quite understandable reasons of popular politics - as unacceptable. However, if the duutian underprivileged cannot be maintained to maintain wage discipline, then a monitoring of effective earnings and the observance of a wage stop due to war is impossible at all.
