7 32 § /l/ The Statistische Staatsamt informs the court and the public authority or the public body of the information on the nationality of the person in whom the determination of the nationality is necessary for the negotiation of a matter governed by this law or by regulations on which the law refers or which serve to carry it out and the private person follows a certification of their nationality if it provides proof that it needs this authentication in order to assert or safeguard its legal interests arising from this law and the aforementioned regulations. /2/ By decree, the government has to regulate the exercise of the competence of the statistical office according to the preceding paragraph and according to § 6 para.3, in particular its relations with the parties and courts and public authorities and organs in the exercise thereof. § 9. In so far as the courts and public authorities and bodies are entitled to ensure that information on national nationality is provided, they have to act properly and strictly in accordance with the truth. /2/ Any person who refuses to give information to an institution exercising public authority about his nationality or the nationality of a person whose proper representative he is, or who is entrusted with his education, teaching, care or supervision, if that institution is entitled to ensure that such information is made available for the purposes of implementing this law or the regulations to which the law refers or which serve to carry it out, or knowingly provides incorrect information, shall be punished by the district authority with a fine of up to 500 Kc or with arrest / closure / for up to 2 days, in the case of repetition with a financial penalty up to 5000 Kc, or with detention / lock-up / up to 14 days. In case of impermanence of the fine , a replacement penalty xon arrest / closing / according to the measure of the fault up to 2 days , in case of repetition up to 14 days will be imposed .
