-7- 136 To be the poorest proletariat in school, which neither German nor Czech can read and write correctly. All this despite the statement made by the Prime Minister Dr. Hodža, who declared: "We do not tolerate Germanization, but we also do not accept Czechization". The extent to which the attitude of the Czechs went against those Germans who opposed all the above-mentioned injustices and finally united in the Sudeten German Party / SaP - shows that they probably allowed a social-democratic defense among the Germans, but ordered the members of the SaP to take off their boots and white shirts if they wanted to be dressed as a single folder. Where, for example, in the old Oesterreich, there was a parallel to the fact that the Germans were required here by law, that beside each other flag there was an at least equal state flag condition and that a state flag had to be carried forward in the case of fixed trains as well. We Germans have fulfilled these demands, what would the Czechs have said before the war in the purely Czech territories about similar procedures? The last blow against us Germans was the introduction of the state police in the German territories. In cities where up to now 1 0 - 12 parish guards served and in doing so ruled full peace and order, today about 100 Czech organs are in uniform and as secret police and this activity is aimed to the greatest extent, as the facts prove, against the Germans themselves and against the SdP in particular. It could be observed that meetings of other parties remained almost unnoticed, while in the SdP's gatherings there is a willingness for the whole force, so to speak, and one wants to intimidate the visitors by sending as many uniform and secret police as possible, and all this, where one repeatedly speaks of reconciliation and peaceful coexistence from the highest point of view. Yes, the attitude against the largest party in the state goes from the Czech side to the point where foreigners disturb the peace and security in the State and get the expulsion because they are allegedly speaking with members of the SdP or friends. These are the conditions that they have experienced after 20 years of this higher party.
