Arch. 334 On the letter of 6 February 1962 - No. I 3e-l7 - concerning the Political Archive of the Foreign Office in Prague, the following reply is made: The collection and evaluation of foreign policy material in the territories occupied by the German troops belongs to the responsibility of the Federal Foreign Office. In carrying out these tasks, the Federal Foreign Office has ensured this material since lg38 in cooperation with the military and civilian agencies and has entrusted its political-propagandist evaluation to special commissions appointed for this purpose. As long as this work has not been completed, the Office of Foreign Affairs is unfortunately unable to dispense with the direct administration of the documents of the former Czechoslovak Foreign Ministry, which is located in Prague, and is therefore unable at present to comply with the request for the annexation of the Polish Archives in Prague to the authority of the Reichsprotektor.
