E Prague, 18.10.1941. Wo/Heg. To the leader of the SD section of Prague, 4-Obersturmbannführer B ö h m e, PraR. 81/22 Betr.: Handbook of the Reich Protector. I do not think it would be extremely important if instead a political manual were issued for the German civil servants in the Protectorate, which - given that only a certain circle of ehpreàcers is allowed, i.e. trustfully - gives an overview of the essential historical processes and political facts which the foreigner in this area must know in order to tackle his work properly. Such a manual would have to contain in my opinion: I. a historical overview, more detailed than that of O'Stubaf. Dr. Gies, which contains the essential historical facts, which are revealing for today's political situation; II. a situation overview from the various areas of life, which is lexicon-like e.g. the population decline, the administrative structure, the economic situation of the countries of Bohemia and Moravia, for example, contains the comparative years 1910, 1930 and 1939241. b.w.
