Subject: Conflict over the assets of the comrades=agricultural distilleries in Prague. Reference: My proposal from May 27, 1944 - VII - 1130 - 90. The Chairman of the German Intergovernmental Committee, Ministerial Conductor Schultze - Schlutius, had envisaged, at the request of the Chairperson of the Slovak Government Committee: l.) the division of the assets of the organizations of the former Czechoslovak Republic, which became necessary as a result of the disintegration of the Republic and the consequent withdrawal of the previous Slo=Wakian members of the Association, .) the fixing of the value of the sale of the sub-plant of the Sublima A.G., which is located in Slovakia, to be placed on the agenda of the Government Committee negotiations held in Pressburg in June 1984. Ministerial conductor Schultze-Schlutius has dropped this ab= sicht. However, in a letter dated July 1, 1944, he stated that he still attaches the greatest importance to the settlement of these questions in the interests of good agreement with Slovakia, and agreed to provide an amount of l,oo0.Oo0.--K from special resources of the Reich to avoid a financial separation of the Protectorate. On the basis of this commitment, it has now been possible to reach an agreement with Slovakia on the issues related to the division of the wealth of the alcohol associations. The scheme is based on the basic principles: 1.) The alcohol sales association in Prague is entitled to repayment of a loan of 8.450,000 K. The Slovak Ministry of Finance pays 3,000.000 Ks for the partial settlement of this Slovak obligation.
