From s c hri f t. The Imperial Protector Brag IV, ben 11.August 1941 in Bohemia and Moravia No. I 2 b - 5050 Goantrbgrbeten; Oieses Gesdhäfrszeichneteu and ben degenstaad at further letters. 9s.50o and Girokonto at the Nattonalbauk for Böhmea and Moravia in Braa To the President of the Government - Determining Authority - in K a r 1 S b a d Subject: Kurt Ritschel, private employee in Prague XII, Bismarckstraße 20/II, application for compensation for political imprisonment in former Czechoslovakia. Attachment: 1 Claims application Criminal acts of the district court Eger, Tk XI 14lo/39 u.R. Attached I transfer to you the claim in addition to the files of the former district court of Eger and ask you to comment on the question of jurisdiction. Since the applicant was resident in Karlovy Vary at the time of the filing of the complaint and the criminal proceedings against him were conducted before the former district court in Eger, it would be possible to justify the jurisdiction there. From the point of view of the applicant, the treatment of the case by the local authority would also be more favourable, and the provision in § 26 of the Volkstumsschädengesetz of 20 October 1939 on the granting of a hardship compensation cannot be provisionally applicable in the Protectorate and it is not yet foreseeable when and how this question will be settled. I ask for your opinion as soon as possible. On behalf of: Dr. von Burgsdorff (referred to by the Under-Secretary of State: Upon receipt of the reply by Mr. St. S.)
