Betr.: Settlement of South Tyroleans near Budweis. id Vorg.1 Here III SA 149 from 1.9.1942, as already reported, South Tyrolean should be settled in the area between the Stritschitzer, belonging to the Gau Niederdonau il Volksinsel and the city of Budweis. The families come from the Fersen valley and from Lusern, i.e. from heights up to 1400 m, which is why they should be settled as far as possible in the outflows of the Bohemian Forest. At the same time, a folk-like connection should be established between the Stritschitzer area and the German folk island of Budweis. The following report is available from Budweis on the current situation of the settlement campaign: nea "For the South Tyrolean German farmers, farms of Czech farmers had to be freed. First of all, so-called run-off farms were planned for this purpose, i.e. farms with Czech couples without children, or farms, which are leased either wholly or partially. It turned out, however, that in the communities in question, such farms are practically non-existent. It was therefore necessary to take a different approach to the selection of holdings: during the surveys, the Land Office established which farmers were liable for war-related debts in the course of the last few years and which farms could be referred to as poorly managed farms, with a standard for the purpose of serving.
