P r a g, 19 December 1942. Office of the State Secretariat .. bon Reichsprotektor in Böhmen und mähren. 4-Obersturmbannführer Dr. G i e s Eing.: 19.Dez 1942 Pra. Betr.: Opinion on the entry of Minister Hruby. I give the following report to Minister Moravec using the letter from Minister Morawec. On the political side of the matter I do not take any reference, because the group leader wants to comment on this question himself. The establishment of the German peasants from the large resettlement actions of the german people has been carefully examined. However, it could not be ascertained that there is a great indignation in the areas in question, that Czech farmers are without food and that, therefore, cultivation is at risk for the future harvest and for this. On the contrary, the cultivation in the areas in question has been carried out completely, and there is therefore no reason to believe that the harvest could not also be brought in. On the basis of these facts, there can be no question that almost all 6oo.ooo farms in Bohemia and Mühren are affected by a psychosis. This is impossible because, in the vast majority of the territory of Bohemia and Moravia, it is not at all known that the use of German resettlement is being carried out in some areas. The exceedance of the prescribed quotas was achieved by the fact that either after the imposition of the compulsory administration or as soon as the planned rejuvenation was known, part of the livestock was cut off and thus the specified quota was partly considerably increased. However, this is not a normal economic process and the action of these farmers would have been enough to take political action. $\\\- 45/q2r}$ ,sk
