Security Service RFh SD section Prague B Betr.: ČNS-Youth (autumn work). After the completion of the holiday period, school holidays and harvest work, the youth of the ČNS community (Mládež ná-rodniho souručenstí) started with an increased activity since the beginning of September 1939. If the spring work in the construction of the new organisation and a member advertisement had almost exhausted itself, in the summer there was no significant expansion or increased wide-ranging work in addition to individual events and the harvest use of 3o ooo Czech young people. It was only started from autumn. The stand at the beginning of autumn shows that almost 53o ooo Czech young people of both sexes aged 17 to 2l were affected by the promotion campaign of the spring. At the same time, male Czechs were able to join the ČNS-popular community, with members aged between 2l and 24 still joining ČNS youth. For each such member, K 2.-- were transferred to the local youth group. According to the general division, there were also 19 districts, 218 districts and approx. 7 5oo local groups. In the framework of the ČNS-circuit- and-district-governments, well-paid youth secretaries were set up. The leading organ of a Czech youth work was the youth commission attached to the Central Committee of the Czech National Community in Prague. In view of this state of affairs, the most important renewal of the beginning of the autumn work of the ČNS youth was the reduction of the age of entry from 17 to 15 years.
