Whereas it is necessary to translate 94 - 18 into the customs tariff and the statistical nomenclature; whereas the corresponding orders have been placed; whereas translations are expected to be completed by the end of December; whereas, furthermore, the German import and export bans must be introduced; A particular question is the organization of the customs border with Slovakia, which accounts for 15% of the total export of the Protectorate and is involved in the import of the protectorate with 25%. The difficulty arising from the further supply of goods of Slovak origin from the Protectorate to the rest of the empire can be mitigated by a restriction on the volume of supplies from Slovakia. The transfer of small quantities to the remainder of the kingdom can be accepted. The harmonization of the customs tariff means that the import duties on a number of raw materials and semi-finished products are increased and reduced for a range of finished products. The question of the extent to which amendments to the Reich tariff are required by the Protectorate is examined.
