December 7, 1944. I "Bohous" reports: Due to the total deployment, the daily press also reports on total deployment in the Protectorate. We have a full understanding that today, where the gigantic struggle culminates, it is in the interest of the whole people, all the provisions of the Polge government must be made. The fact that all government decrees are almost 100 percent fulfilled is the best proof of the discipline and good will of our people, especially of the working state, but we are also unfortunately witnesses of hardships which arise when government regulations are carried out, and which are totally superfluous for our workers, which - as is known - does not represent a negotiable mass. The result is a wave of dissatisfaction and the shaking of confidence in all that was offered to the workers by the press and by radio. We would like to draw attention to those hardships which particularly affect us: it is in the first row the closing of the Pamilia and Handebschulen and the sitting of the l4-year-old girls in the factories. The use of these young girls takes place on the basis of lists sent by the schools to the employment office; without regard to their present place of residence, these young women are distributed to large factories, although in some cases a nearer place of production could be assigned to them. However, what is most alarming is the fact that these girls were only intended for work in the factory because they were enrolled in school. Other girls, on the other hand, are equally valid, whether they are suitable or unsuitable, have the possibility to be allocated in shops, law firms and other positions. The principle thus promoted: "A real person in the right place" was violated here in the most gross way. By the use of these girls almost consistently in the armaments industry, also hard suffers their morale, because this industry is a milieu in which all kinds of bad individuals, several times pre-punished people, street girders etc. are employed.
