The official wage policy of the Protectorate has thus, on its own initiative, created all the conditions under the guidelines applicable to the Great German Reich in order to avoid cases of hardship of the kind described in the mood report. I assume that the mood report deals either with a particular exceptional case, in which despite the indications a Pirma has not yet exhausted the possibilities given to it, or that the complaint - this is even more likely - refers to events in which the announcement had not yet become effective. A binding arrangement of food subsidies is not only of concern because it would exceed the wage rates of the neighbouring economic areas, but above all because, at the different levels of earnings, it is necessary to adjust to the needs of the company in order to maintain the incentive to benefit. It would be desirable if such mood reports were to contain specific information on certain farms, because only then could effective action be taken immediately.
