-2- Decisions made by the indicated side could not be accepted. H. Dr. Holik, who became more and more excited, finally refused to explain his actions at all. He explained that he would only justify himself to the Minister of State. If he is not given the opportunity, please take note of his resig nation. Mr. Dr. Giess then asked the Minister of State to submit a written request to that effect. Mr. Dr. Holik explained that he had a discussion with SS-Standartenführer Fischer on the same day and that he would also speak on this occasion about the form of this request to the Minister of State. That was the end of the discussion. The presentations of H.MR.Dr.Giess were carried out in a factual, calm and prudent manner. Even after H.Dr.Holik H.MR. Dr.Giess personally attacked him, he remained calm. Mr.Holik, however, apparently had from the outset no intention at all of justifying himself or of explaining his actions in any way. There can be no mention of an insulting of H.D.Holeik by H.M.Dr Giess with regard to this matter. On the contrary, only H.MR.Dr.Giess, who, as can be seen from these representations, was personally attacked by H. Dr.Holik, could and had to feel insulted. lup punmt. Ing. Brunner.
