N i d e r s s c h i t i on the discussion between Dr. G i e s and Dr. H o l i k Ministerial Councillor Dr.Giess held on 1 January 1945. Nevertheless, he (Dr.Holik) was aware that on the one hand the order for the 6th and 7th. Hrubý's planned trip to Niederdonau had to be omitted, and, on the other hand, that only a certain portion of the existing cigarette stock could be distributed by the Minister himself, had H.Dr.Holik nevertheless undertaken the trip and also brought the cigarettes reserved to the Minister for distribution, not having regard to the restrictions imposed on it, for distribution. Ministerial Councillor Dr.Giess pointed out to H. Dr.Holik the impossibility of this action in an absolutely calm and prudent way. He referred to the difficulties which, taking into account the present raw material situation, were linked to the re-purchasing of cigarettes for the Minister as a result of this. Mr. Dr. Holik, who was quite excited, explained that he had been of the opinion that the travel ban only refers to the minister, but not to him as well. H.MR.Dr.Giess replied that it would only be a matter of course that this order refers not only to the Minister himself, but also to his entire entourage.
