52-40) A poll with the audience. In the last issue, we published the responses of critics to 3 questions concerning our work (see 7th issue of Program D 41, p. 206 - 226) and asked the audience to take their stand on both our questions and the Czech critics. D 41! The new issue of Programme D 4l brought a rather interesting news survey with criticisms. Despite all the minor differences, everyone agrees essentially with the D 4l activity. Interestingly, however, she is the shyness with which they all express. As if they were afraid to touch something or someone too much. Even the (presumed) most disagreeable F. Peiger almost only suggests. Everyone is afraid to hit a live one, hit a D 4L. And somehow no one knows how to do it; so that they may not be accused of not supporting good efforts. And everyone tries to find - they find the benefits rather than the negatives and, as little as they can, praises etc. Well, that cannot be agreed with. Praisers and promoters have D 41 enough. Until they stop how sorry they all are, whatever it is. I mean, to the point. Not what D 41 likes, but what they don't like! D 41 becomes the theatre, perhaps accidentally, - more conventional. In hard- years fought, fought with the times, with conventions, with lies - rhyme, memory. Today it says it wants to do it. But, I think it was a zero on old means. It fought out, stomped out its position hard, labored, pursued for many years. It was abused, dulled, defamed, silenced. And it testified to it. It grew stronger. Today it is widely recognized, approved, looked up to him as the savior of our theatre, adored by his actors, became fashionable to talk about him, write, think, even visit him. The snobs from the National and Urban people moved to D 4l today. This is the saddest fact. He is a theater of snobby, fashion mostly of the post-posser youth; he is reported to by people, vera clapping soulless, in fashion of being, operetta. It is thanks that people were even forced to think about modern theatre problems - moss, but who really thinks? Who doesn't repeat the phrase of the newspaper as it will repeat the phrases of critics participating in our polls? Hopefully, at least some of those who stand D 4l closest to the Friends' Club. Sorry to overspecificity, it lay on me as it is, otherwise I could not. Ad 1, 2, 3, your polls - enough phrases for this- chatting p. critics and what else audience! I look forward to the fresh air from the new D 41. Oldřich Kryštofek. 252
