J u n e k moved to Unter-Bukovsko, Wesseli a.d.L. district, in the summer of l939 and received permission to work in the field of the German veterinarian Dr. Porak. In response to the protest made by Dr. Porak at the Upper Land Council in Budweis, negotiations were held between Ministerialdigent Med:Vet.Dr. Eccart at the Reichsprotektor on the one hand, and the Ministry of Agriculture on the other hand, as well as the State Office. It is said that at that time the Ministry for Agriculture and the State Authority promised that the Czech Dr. Junek would be in Unter-Bukovsko only temporarily and that he would soon be dismissed. In the meantime, however, the Czech has continued to expand its practice and has settled in Unter-Bukovsko. The Czech veterinarian found both the support of the predominantly Czech and German peasant population as the Czech authorities, so that it was relatively easy for him to penetrate into the work area of the German veterinarian.
