NOV. 1944 Eing An SS-Obergruppenführer Staatsminister Frank d.d.Herrn Abteilungsleiter I (see below) Prag Betr.:Totaler Kriegsbeinsatz; Hochschulinstitut für Musik und bildende Kunst in Prag. A communication by the Minister of Education, whether and to what extent the higher education institutes for music and visual arts in Prague continue their teaching activities, is not yet available. Repeated telephone requests have not brought a clarification. While the scientific universities have been re-established for weeks, the students and teachers of the two higher education institutions are without employment, a condition which is not acceptable in my opinion. 1.) University Institute of Music. About 40 students are waiting for the opening of the teaching establishment. In addition, students who are registered for work but are not yet called. Teachers who are eligible for military service are not available. 2.) University Institute of Fine Arts. The required number of students is available for master training by the professors Hönich and Hofmann. The professors Vietze and Köhler are not to be used as masters after a telephonic message from the Reich Ministry of Education. Professor Köhlers is employed for the Reich's Propaganda Ministry and has 3 pupils. d n r dr wad 2186 St.MA-2021n/44 Maryung 9,14. mn M, D. Krecer 117
