English Translation
L/ .- 5 5. As far as it is appropriate and necessary in the individual regions, there are no doubts about the participation in the patrol service of the relevant employment office in order to immediately make the unemployed persons, who usually show an unworthy attitude to a particular extent, compulsory to pay. 6. It is also repeatedly reported that the visitors to the spa and recreation sites managed on a larger scale and bought up non-managed goods and food and paid maximum prices for it. Experience has shown that, in most cases, major action against such misconduct did not cover the most serious cases, and that it was also a source of concern for the entire population. However, it seems necessary to investigate the areas in which the infringements of the management regulations and the "Hamstern" are to be found to a particular extent. It will then be up to the criminal police to pay even greater attention to such misconduct, particularly in these areas, and to bring about an exemplary punishment for the guilty, which can be published as a dissuasive example in the local press. On 10 April 1942, the state police had to report on the situation in the tourist resorts and on the measures taken.
