English Translation

The establishment of Czech schools accelerated the process of Czechisation. On the German side, the German authorities failed to counter the timely influx of Germans from the German hinterland, the Bohemian Forest. This would have meant an almost inexhaustible source of power as a result of its population pressure. However, this population surplus flowed to the other countries of the then Danube monarchy instead of the South Bohemian region. The consequences were catastrophic, especially for the German offspring in industry, trade and trade. This has led to a gradual ageing and an extinction in German trade and crafts. This process has not yet come to an end.
