The Chamber recorded 26,735 entrances, 14,140 exits and sent 9,063 circulars.The number of long-distance calls was 622 and the number of local calls was 49,650. According to samples, the numberof visitors to the "House of Economy" including the technical breakdowns was estimated at an average of 1,500 per month. The extended tasks of the Chamber were carried out with a relatively low cost. In the year 1942, the Chamber's contribution was on average for every commercial operation of the District K 60.28. Personnel expenditure was estimated at 1942 65.7%, material expenditure at 20.5 % and expenditure at 13.8 % of total expenditure, such as contributions, school support and the like. However, in view of the relatively weak economic development in southern Bohemia, it was essential, with the agreement of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Labour, to collect the Chamber's contribution from the base to 30 %, and to carry out the care work to the required extent. The board attached great importance to being in close contact with the commercial drivers of the chamber district. The advisory service increased considerably in scope. In the interest of time= and labor savings, information was given orally and by tele-lingual means as far as it was concerned. Every month, the Chamber sent short economic reports to a selected number of companies and authorities. The number of recipients was 19l. In addition, large-scale companies were informed about important technical questions and new research results through circulars. In particular, the chamber had to keep close contact with the press. On all the main events at the Chamber there appeared notes in the local press of the Protectorate. From among the staff of the Chamber, contributions on current economic issues were made available to the local Press. In several rich German leading newspapers, presentations on the South Bohemian economic problems were published. 6. On 25 September 1942, a meeting was held between the German Presidents and Chief Executive Officers of Chambers of the Protectorate, the Sudetengaues and the Ostmark.
