34 - 24 - l. Cooperative affairs. By the establishment of the new economic organization, the need to reorganize the previous cooperative organization (interns). According to the status of 1 January 19942, 380 cooperatives existed in the Chamber. By virtue of Reg.Vdg.44?/41, the cooperatives of the commercial sector (trade bodies) and Regulation 448/4l dissolved the cooperative of the catering industry and transferred their scope to the relevant economic groups. 59 cooperatives have been dissolved by this decree. As a result of the provisions of Regulation No 85/40, companies organised in the Central Association of Crafts made it necessary to convert the mixed cooperatives into professional cooperatives. It was taken into account that only used trades are united in specialist cooperatives and only those professional cooperatives have been established which are viable by a sufficient number of members. This principle was put to the fore in all the statements made by the Chamber in accordance with Regulation 3ll/41 on the establishment of industrial cooperatives and their associations. The changes in the district of the Chamber as well as reclassifications in the area of the district authorities revealed the need for numerous changes in cooperative districts. The number of cooperatives was reduced to 196 on 1 December. 166 of these were located in the district of the Chamber, 2l cooperatives were established for a larger area than the district. Accordingly, numerous changes were made to the district= and regional associations. In other matters of society, the Chamber has issued opinions at the request of the district authority and the regional authority. Numerous changes have concerned the approval of cooperative statutes, the jurisdiction of cooperatives, the release and division of a common property, the fixing of cooperative fees, etc. 12.
