- 3 - X. In the individual countries and Gauen, they look after our members, who are gratifyingly increasing from year to year, a proof of how the Nordic society prevails everywhere. Every year, our Kontore carry out hundreds of cultural events, such as lectures, concerts, film presentations, exhibitions. Through our "Wirtschaftswart Nord", we continuously inform the entire German economy about all important processes in the economy of the northern European countries and especially in this economic area, the Norwegian society hopes to convey new ideas to the economy in Bohemia and Moravia. Prague, with its annual trade fair, has become an important intersection on the economic routes between Scandinavia and South-East Europe, which, by disrupting the old overseas relations, are constantly gaining in importance for both parts as well as the transit regions themselves. Our "Information Service North" has become an important factor in relations with the North; it has become a political-enlightening element for the care of another circle of friends in the North. As a further permanent publication and as a link to our members, I finally mention our two magazines "The North" and "The Race". One emphasizes, as the title says, more the inter-state, the other more the racial side of our work. Thus our members and friends are in fact offered some encouragement. In almost two years the Nordic society has gained its experience in all fields. Small was the beginning, and it was not until l933 that it succeeded in breaking through the local framework of the old Hanseatic city of Lübeck and slowly gaining Gau for Gau for our thoughts. Thus, and the political development now also paved the way to this old imperial land of Bohemia and Moravia. The task of the Prague Accountant, whom I have the honour to open today as the 45th Accountr of Nordic Society, will be in particular to gather all the personalities who are committed to our philosophical question and to our intergovernmental programme. Those who want to work honestly here are warmly welcome. I thank all the gentlemen.
