(b) Škoda-Brönner Waffen and to a lesser extent the Bohemian-Mährische Maschinfabriken have claims of about 1.9 billion K, which are due up to 1 960, from arms supplies to the Yugoslav State. In the years 194l, 1942 and 1943 the formalities are the largest (about 200-300 million K annually). In an agreement with the Reich, the Croatian government has recognized that it must take over a corresponding proportion of the debts of the former Yugoslav state. In the Agram negotiations, however, it has described the arms debt as odios, since the armaments against the German Reich against the Will of Croatia had been set up within the framework of the Small Entente. This reasoning is hardly valid, but in view of the political nature of the question, the accompanying exchange of letters merely provided that this question was reserved for a special agreement. c) The Protectorate also obtained essential raw materials from Croatia. An agreement is reached with the Reichswirtschaftsminis- terium with regard to a proportion of the large-scale imports of iron ores and slag, which is already assured that the import of iron and steel ores, which refers to Witkowitz, will continue to be maintained in the future. ) Against the continuation of the old protectorate relations, also as far as they are carried by Chechnya, neither the German embassy nor the Croatian authorities raise objections, for the export of protectorate there are favourable prospects. -3-
