On the other hand, the increase in the price of legumes is exceptionally large, whereas the prices of peas and beans have increased to 2.9 times and 2.3 times, whereas egg prices have increased by around 67%, beer prices by 55% and clothing products prices have risen considerably. The price of a combed yarn suit was increased by about 56%, for an upper shirt by about 64%. Prices for wool socks have risen to 3 times, for cotton socks to 1.9 times. The price increase for a dress made of wool fabric is estimated at 52%, for a garment made of artificial silk to 82%. The prices for men's shoes made of beef box rose by 25%, from boxing calf by 34%. In the case of women's shoes, the increase is considerably higher, prices have risen to double. It is noteworthy, however, that since October 194O a reduction in the prices of footwear has been achieved. Thus, from October 1940 to June 194l the prices for men's footwear made of beef box fell by 6% from boxing calf by 12%, for children's boots and children' s shoes by 6 and 8%. Finally, it is pointed out that in the price comparison between the protectorate and the rest of the Reich, it must be taken into account that there were goods which had a higher price level here at the beginning of 1939 than in the Reich. In particular, these are household items.
