If the plants have employed plant doctors, the health insurance companies have appointed the doctors to be sprinklers, so that the plant doctors were simultaneously cashier doctors of the health insurers. So far, however, there was no uniform view of the position of the work *eta. In part, the view was expressed that the plant doctor should not be at the same time a sprennel doctor of the health insurance fund, but that he must have a position which is superior to the health insurer, in which he is independent of the sickness insurance fund and can cancel the decisions of the medical insurance companies and their official doctors. In the last discussion at the party liaison office on the fundamental position of the company and plant doctors, it was agreed that the plant physician must be dependent on the health insurance fund and on it at the present time. However, it is still to be clarified whether the liaison office of the Reichsprotektor to the trade unions will be extended by the creation of an agency for the training and orientation of the work doctors or whether only the responsibility of Section A III of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Labour should be given to this extent (see the reports of the Oberregierungsrat Stucke of 9 and 15 July 1943). 1554/43- To the office of the Secretary of State for good knowledge. Jch would not consider an extension of the liaison office to be expedient by creating an office for the training and orientation of the work doctors. I will return to this question in a special report to the State Secretary. Prague, 22 July 1943. The Head of Division V 2 plants. Dy
