196 2 and Bulgaria. On the occasion of the spring meeting of the German-Bulgarian Rogation Committee, a new plan for the mutual exchange of goods will be agreed. The trade ninisteriwn has so far not been agreed on the event. Preparations for these negotiations have not been reached. In view of the fact that the establishment of the requirements of the protectorate industry for the trade negotiations of the empire with the iuslande often requires a longer period of time, it would be necessary to influence the relevant Reich factors in the sense that the local trading branch is kept in good time, which demands it should submit for the anticipated trade-policy negotiations and it is granted a sufficient time limit for its liquidation. 6)_Greece. The monitoring body at the Trade Institute shall deal with applications for export authorization to Greece in the event of a case. However, the previous Directive, which allows the supervising body to authorize exports of goods to Greece, in so far as export transactions concluded by the end of the previous year are concerned, did not apply to Turkey. As we have already reported in the last monthly report, the supervising office at the trade office approves the confiscation transactions in Turkey; the condition, however, is that the Turkish goods be exported at the same time as the protectorate goods. In view of the large number of formalities connected with the supply transactions, the biggest obstacle to the reciprocal exchange of goods between the Protectorate and Turkey is likely to be the high prices of Turkish agricultural products. It should also be noted that the old claims of local exporters, which Turkey blocked on tied accounts at Turkish banks, are gradually being debloked.
