The Head of Division IV (Rulturpolitik) I/M Prague, ll. December 1943. I./ As a črK message for the entire Czech Sunday press: A sensational British admission. Prague, l. December l943. - The British news agency Reuter issued the following message yesterday from its correspondent Alfred Grant: "Eduard Benesch is expected to arrive in Moscow any moment after he arrived on Soviet soil yesterday. The fact that the departure of the Czech President of London was announced almost three weeks ago, and that his announced arrival in Moscow was not denied, suggests that Benesh was effectively used by the Allied security authorities to cover the movements of the three, namely Stalin. 137 73.43. During the meantime, Benesch interrupted his trip to the Middle East, but he was not in Tehran during the conference. Benesch will have been more willing to work in hiding for the Tehran conference, because he can't tolerate travelling on the plane and will need longer interruptions during long air trips. For the same reason, his private physician Dr. Klinger accompanies the president. Bad weather over the Caucasus may have delayed the last stage of his journey."
