8E Criminal Police Headquarters Prague, 23 December 1941. - Special Commission - Statement A: Establishment and implementation of controls by the protectorate authorities for the collection of unregistered grain stocks. In the week from 8 to 15.12.194l it was given to the cereal growers of the Protectorate in the case of the granting of freedom of punishment the possibility to subsequently notify hidden grain stocks, the Ministry of the Interior ordered in the period from 16 to 20.12.41 to carry out controls with the aim: 1.) to determine to what extent the farmers have now declared their obligation to notify, complied with and 2.) to take action in the event of violations of the reporting obligations against the accused. The task of carrying out the checks was entrusted to the district heads, to whom, for this purpose, beantes and employees (a) of the Ministry of Agriculture, (b) the Grain Industry Association, (c) of price monitoring bodies, (d) of district authorities and (e) of protectorategendarnerie. On the way in which controls were carried out and on the selection of the farms to be checked, the Minister of the Interior issued precise directives stating that the stables, barns, etc. belonging to the farms were to be examined. and that in each village a farmer who corrects his quantity of cereals declared at the end of October 194l in the period from 8 to 15 December 1994l and a farmer, who had not made an adjustment, must be checked. /.
