St.M. V E - 31 f/44 g.Rs. Prague, September 3, 1944. 4446 Ih'll SE-24TTE-8 (To be treated as a secret Reich case after entry!) Urgent! Present immediately! To the Reichsführer-4, Be rlin SWll, Prince Albrecht Straße 8. Reichs Führer! The situation in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia also depends largely on the mastery of military and political security in Slovakia. The intention, which I recognized in good time and admitted by the opponent in London, Moscow and for three days on Slovak radio, (Banska-Bystrica) is to make active use of the resistance movement in the Protectorate from Slovakia. All enemy transmitters have issued the slogan: "The struggle is not about Bratislava, it is about the Czecho-Slovak liberation, about the liberation of Prague, Pilsen, Brno and Moravian-Ostrava. The struggle of the Slovak people unites to a stream nationa- len liberation struggle of all ČSR". The echo in the Czech population is extraordinary. My conviction is that events will take a very threatening turn if the turmoil in Slovakia is not lightning fast, using sufficient force.
