The number of placements was very low in the period under review, as a result of the strong tension in the area, which in the previous year sought to capture any available force for mining and industry, including agriculture and forestry, by means of advertising and commitment measures. In Pilsen, with about 1,700 persons employed in mining, the operational activity was also kept within narrow limits. About 600 forces of the mining profession are active in the district of Pilsen as border commuters in the neighboring Su-deten area. The rapid coverage of the urgent need is only possible from the contingent of construction workers released as a result of the new construction ban of 7 May 1941. Occupation 4 : Stones and earths. The seasonal upswing of the last weeks has also strengthened the economic activity of the stones and earth. Since the beginning of the year, the level of the employees has decreased. At the end of April, it amounted to over 20,000 workers. Over the same period, the extraction and processing of earth increased by more than a third of the total number of employees and amounts to about 33,000. In detail, the results of the mediation reflect the strong movement. Pardubitz, Kolin and Brno are in the foreground with the occupation of 325, 300 and 240 free jobs. In Budweis, 100, in Zlin 120, in Königgrätz 150, in Jitschin, 160 forces were assigned. The entire mediation result for the reporting period amounts to 2,191 sts.
