The Reichsprotektor Pragi the 19.March 1941 in Bohemia and Moravia II.,S-vehla-Ufer No.20 Ministry of Transport Phone No.61451/652 No.111/2 0.1625/1941 Tr. To the a.) Lords Upper Land Councillors in Bohemia b. Lords Superior Land Councilors in Moravia - via the Office Moravia in Brno - Subject: Fuel allocation for the road transport sector in April 1941. On the basis of my decree of 25 February 1941 - III/2 Tr.0.1512/41 - measures have been taken by all Upper Land Councils to reduce fuel consumption. As I understand from consistent reports, the population of the Protectorate and all economic circles have accepted the need for measures with understanding. There has been no disruption of vital business and economic activity, even if certain inconveniences have occurred here and there, but these must be accepted and cannot prevent the implementation of the measures already taken. I would point out that up to 50% of the passenger cars still registered in February 194l have been de-angled in individual Oberlandrat districts, and this result should also be sought in the other Oberland Council districts. In particular, I note: 1.) The question has arisen whether the batteries and tyres of such vehicles, which are now being unangled, must be notified to the Wehrmacht and delivered later. This is important for those vehicles, in which a public interest in further use could probably be re-recognised in some months. /. SVK/41.
