Fr a n k in Prague Czernin Palais. Subject : Formation of the nature and wildlife reserve Gross-Seelowitz. In the execution of Reg.Vdg.Slg. No. l27/l94l and the decree of the commissioner head of Section VI in the Ministry of Agriculture - Supreme Hunting Authority - of 18.6.1942, Zl. 836l0-VI C/42, the lower hunting authority of Brno has received the order to form the nature and wildlife reserve Gross-Seelowitz. At the same time it was ordered that the communal hunting districts within this area should be leased by the Protectorate Forest Office Seelowwitz. The Supervisory Forestry Office of Brno has therefore asked all the chieftains of the areas in question to conclude their hunting expeditions by September 5, 1942 at the latest; except for the /German/ chieftain in Brannowitz, everyone has complied with this request. By decree of September 19, 1942, the Supreme Hunting Authority again issued the order to instruct the Chief of Hunting in Brannowitz to conclude the hunting lease agreement with the Forestry Office in Seelowitz, and to have him removed from office in the event of a renewed refusal. The order of the lower hunting authority in Brno, under reference to the Polgen, was again rejected by the chief of the hunt in Brannowitz. The lower hunting authority has therefore submitted to my district captain Brno-Land the request to remove the chief of hunting in Brannowitz Josef Raab from his office and to order a new chief of hunts To investigate the striking behavior of the chief in Brannowi, my district chief had his German gendarme command in the matter raised. The result of the investigation presented to me by the district captain raises serious concerns as to whether the application of the lower hunting authority is justified and I therefore ask that the matter be presented in a very short time and for a decision.
