Likewise, not the governor-general, but the state secretary is the head of the government. He is directly under the authority of a Under-Secretary of State as the actual head of authority. The post, however, is not occupied at the moment, nor does it seem to be intended to be re-occupied. State Secretary: The State Secretary, and the Under-Secretary of State, has a quite extensive "Secretariat of State", whose scope can be compared with an extended "Presidium" in an autonomous authority of the Protectorate. In this Secretariat of State, for example, the personal "Court of the Governor General" is also incorporated.
