La - 2 - kanzlei and with the Münnern from the Generalgouvernement and from the Reichsgauen with foreign-language population (Danzig-West-Prussia, Wartheland, Steiermark, Oberkrain). These discussions, in particular with the government director E i c h h o l z from Krakow, showed that the problems in the approach are very similar everywhere, although the solutions are different everywhere. In particular, the comparison with the General Government, whose circumstances I know to some extent about my work there in the year l940, showed me once again how much easier and harder we have here at the same time. It is easier because there is an absolutely clear objective that is lacking there. More difficult, because because of the specificity of the Czech problem as a central German problem, every error here has dangerous consequences, whereas in the completely different storage of the Polish problem individual errors are not so important. Above all, however, I felt again - and Eichholz had the same impression - that the party chancellor basically does not know much about the special problems of our country-politically so difficult area and approaches the local conditions with misconceptions, because it sees things far too much from Berlin or Munich. What is characteristic of this is the statement by a speaker that I am already quite "controversial". That is why I strongly restrained myself with references to our beliefs. However, I would like to consider whether it would not be appropriate to take more interest in things from Prague to the party law firm. I could think it fruitful if the party chancellery were encouraged to hold the next working session in Prague or to hold a special working session here in the smaller circle, which would have as its object the special school-political conditions of the icekel 0o0 areas with predominantly non-German population. Such a meeting in Prague, however, would have to be very well prepared from the party's office of association, so that the success is already guaranteed psychologically and thus does not develop from it a speech from the outside. If my proposal were to be taken up, I would ask for an understanding, because it would be best if I put forward a plan for the first time.
