English Translation
I had to send my two children to the Czech school in Pardubitz, where I stayed for eight years, after one year of schooling. I was temporarily transferred to Karlovy Vary (1932 - 1933) and it was immediately made clear that I had to calculate the most recent transfer, the necessity of service, and that it was therefore 1 r a t s a m l to leave the children in the Czech school for a short time. In fact, I was entrusted with the establishment of the new branch in Üžhorod in January l933. Here, in the Babel of the East, were again only Czech schools.Jch was in Užhorod almost 6 years until the liberation of the Sudetenland. In spite of my 30 years of service, I was immediately dismissed from the Institute of Music of my German Confession.Protesting against this, I obtained the amendment of this dismissal in leave of absence with payment of an insignificant suspension fee /the salary was suspended until the German Reichsbank clarified any possible transfer. All the officials of German nationality - whether they remain Czechoslovaks or not - were made available to the German Imperial Bank; except for three members, namely: that already mentioned at the beginning Herr from Bodenbach /his wife is Jewish who is now in good positions in Prague and two colleagues who had Czech women as wives. At the end of November l938 we were invited by the Reichsbank to the provisional service for the purpose of disposing of the civil servants /See supplement l /
