Copy. K II/3 Prague, 7.4.1944. 99 V e r h a n d e l t. Major Walter J ur k appears and explains on questioning: If I should again express myself to chapter 33,000 RM "Hanish money", I declare now after mature consideration that my last statement is correct insofar as I have said that I have temporarily taken l0.oo RM to buy things for L u c k n e r. At the time, however, when T a r g a t s c h had the cash register, 33.0o0 RM must have been in the cash desk. This amount was placed in 3 envelopes in the cassette, namely a brown, the other two white. The brown envelope was glued, the two white were open. Therefore, it is also to be explained that T ar - g at s c H did not count the third brown envelope. Where the Snitze yon RM 1 647.25 has remained, I can't explain yet, I am convinced that I have borrowed this amount to someone who has not yet returned the money to me. I believe that I spent this amount for a delivery to a Berliner. The item delivered in this connection does not come from the Einsatzstab II. The Ilsenau account is to be regarded as a service account, it was also managed by my administration. Therefore, the 3l g00.-RM, of which RM 21 900.- are on this account and has 10 000.- RM Ltn. G r e i w e in Poznań, are not created aside, but properly booked on an account of the Einsatzstab II. In the account in Posna is Ltnn. The account is also called "Account Ii". The fact that the lo O00.-RM are in Poznan can be seen at any time from the Prague books of the Einsatztab II. My information just given corresponds to the truth in all points. I have to say, however, that I have not convinced myself whether N e u m a n n those at Ltn. I can't tell if I gave him a corresponding order. I have just been told in detail once again that if there are any irregularities or inconsistencies in accounting and management, in storage and management and in accounting, in the records of duty, in command, I should give information about them today. It is true that the whole complex has been discussed with me in the last few days, but yesterday alone, with short interruptions from i6 to 2.30 Ühr this morning, all the questions that may arise were discussed. However, after these discussions, I cannot give any other information as before. They correspond to the truth. I have nothing more to add to them. I am aware that I have my statements as an officer
